Position Summary
Project support officers provide vital assistance to project managers. These highly-organized, dynamic professionals work on important projects for us as an insurance company.
A project support officer’s job is not only to perform routine administrative duties like minute taking, but it also comes with responsibilities that is tied to the success of the project assigned. Driving everything forward from planning to implementation, the project support officer’s actions will directly influence the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project.
Every project is different and therefore the PSOs duties will change accordingly. However, the main responsibilities of a PSO are to monitor project schedules and budgets, prepare progress reports, and coordinate with key stakeholders.
Job Description
- Follow up on
collection of all non-received documents and escalate any issues to the PM.
- Attend
weekly project meetings as requested by PM and keep detailed meeting minutes
for publishing to project team.
- Draft,
submit, and track all RFPs and distribute to all team members as appropriate.
- Review project
logs (RFIs, Submittals) with Superintendent on a weekly basis.
- Pursue and
monitor submittals and track deliveries of materials. Verify all submittal
conformity to plans & specifications.
- Collect
superintendent daily reports, weekly project pictures and safety documentation.
Review for completeness and include in project documentation. Inform PM of
deficiencies.
- Collect
subcontractor changes for review by the PM.
- Review
invoices. Check for accuracy.
Qualifications
- Male or Female, Age 22 – 30 Years
Old
- Bachelor’s degree in business studies, management studies, information technology, public administration, or other
relevant subjects.
- Able to work under pressure
- Fast learner and willing to learn
- Service mind.
- Has good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in
English language will be given special consideration
